Renee Rouse, a Kentucky native and an avid horse enthusiast, is 49 years old and has children and grandchildren. She has always had a passion for the walking horse industry, always wanting to offer something unique to everyone she ran into. She began to think about how one can provide something unique and special designed to help herself financially and give herself “peace,” being comfortable and proud of what she would offer.
In the spring of 2018, Rouse started a small embroidery business only in the horse industry—specializing in caps and promotional products for owners to campaign their “champion or special horse” who would go on to win big things. To some people, these items were just a cap or a shirt, but to Rouse, they were uniquely designed, unique pieces of proud moments each time she made one.
A few years later, Rouse would move to East Tennessee, where she united in marriage to her husband, Dean Rouse, also a long-time horse enthusiast. The two share a passion for the industry and the small business, The Pony Stitch.
Even though small businesses need to thrive and grow, Rouse is very proud of its accomplishments and enjoys each and every customer. She would like to turn small things into big things and one day have a very successful business with the help of everyone who loves the product that she delivers with quality, as she says in her slogan, Stitches that are steps above the rest!
